In 1885, Warren Johnson first launched Johnson Electric Service Company after patenting the electric tele-thermoscope, a building temperature-control device. Now known as Johnson Controls, the company has over 2,000 worldwide locations. Johnson Controls has served Virginia for over 50 years through HVAC, fire protection, and security solutions and services. In Virginia, a variety of industries have relied on Johnson Controls products and services, including data centers, K-12 schools, hospitals, and government buildings.
Customers across Virginia have taken advantage of energy savings through the unmatched efficiency of Johnson Controls HVAC equipment. Additionally, the Johnson Controls Building Automation System has allowed customers to get the most out of their building equipment while also reducing operating costs. Johnson Controls also offers building Energy Performance Contracts through which facility and infrastructure retrofit costs are offset by utility and operational savings. This helps businesses and organizations fund capital improvements, maintain cash flow and reduce emissions.
The Johnson Controls’ new YZ Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller is the first chiller fully optimized for ultimate performance with a next-generation low-GWP (global warming potential) refrigerant, delivering superior real-world performance, lower cost of ownership and a new definition of sustainability.
