ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Coronavirus has impacted the housing industry on an enormous scale – for both housing professionals and residents alike. Despite a challenging 2020, D3G’s Energy and Sustainability team quickly adapted to new protocols, inspection processes, and travel restrictions. Given these difficult circumstances and the ever-changing landscape, they were undeterred. D3G’s tireless team efforts consistently produced high quality, comprehensive reports that met clients’ needs and kept projects moving forward while remaining diligent to health and safety procedures.

The Energy & Sustainability team wrapped up a strong year with some well-deserved and notable accomplishments:

  • More than 120 Multifamily Properties – greater than 25,000 units – were certified to the ENERGY STAR standard.
  • Over 250 Multifamily Developers and Property Owners have pursued HUD’s green financing program through consultation provided by D3G.
  • D3G generated over 600 whole building energy simulation models for a wide variety of residential multifamily buildings, consisting of over 10,700 dwelling units. Collectively, since the inception of HUDs Green MIP program five years ago, D3G has generated over 2,5000 whole building energy simulations for buildings consisting of over 46,000 units.
  • D3G was selected as a 2019 NGBS Green Partner of Excellence for the third consecutive year in a row.
