Pearl Certification was founded to drive residential energy efficiency and renewables at scale. Having issued over 100,000 certifications nationwide (and counting), Pearl is transforming the housing market by certifying energy efficiency, renewables, indoor air quality and other high performing features so they can be valued at the time of sale. Pearl is helping state entities and residential contractors meet the third-party certification and valuation requirements in the Inflation Reduction Act.

Creating the Ecosystem for High-Performing Homes

Pearl works with the public sector and leverages the private sector to support the public sector in achieving climate, energy, resiliency, and equity goals. Working with state and local governments and key local partners, Pearl is able to launch pilot programs that weave together key initiatives in the state to achieve these goals. A recently launched public-private partnership with Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Renew Missouri, a local 501c3, called Renew Missouri Homes, is designed to help Missouri homeowners find vetted contractors to improve the quality of their homes, certify eligible Missouri homes with an official state certificate, providing ongoing homeowner engagement and education through an app called Green Door, and much more.
