The U.S. Departments of Energy and Commerce are partnering on an initiative — Manufacturing Impacts Through Energy and Commerce (MITEC) — to educate medium to small clean energy related businesses on the opportunities and expertise that the national labs (i.e. National Renewable Energy Lab or NREL) have to offer the private sector.

They have selected Virginia as one of four states to do a day-long interactive information session (“Boot Camps”) which is scheduled for October 6th at James Madison University.
