Local Energy Alliance Program
Andrew Grigsby is Executive Director at the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP). He previously ran LEAP’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program after serving as principal at Commonwealth Sustainability Works of Culpeper, Virginia, a consulting firm which he founded in 2001. Prior to starting this business, Grigsby worked many years in various construction trades, served as a program facilitator in the experiential education industry, and managed the Sustainable Communities Initiative of the City of Austin, Texas. Grigsby is a LEED Accredited Professional, a RESNET certified home energy rater, and a BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Professional. His formal education includes a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from The University of Texas and a Bachelor’s Degree in social theory from Virginia Commonwealth University. Grigsby lives in Rappahannock County, Virginia with his wife, Trista, Director of Nutrition Services for Rappahannock County Public Schools.
